阿姆斯特丹这个货真价实的爵士之都，其悠久、丰厚的历史可回朔至三、四零年代以降，各爵士乐手，诸如 Kid Dynamite 以及Chet Baker 等声誉卓着的爵士音乐家，在棉花俱乐部（Cotton Club），或是卡萨布兰卡咖啡店（Café Casablanca）等知名场地的演出，这样的一代爵士风华即将在第五届的红灯爵士音乐节（Red Light Jazz Festival）中重现，举办会场就位于荷兰首都阿姆斯特丹着名的红灯区内。
