英国皇家音乐学院（Royal Academy of Music）荣誉会员
「 在音乐唱片史上，鲜少有哪位製作人，单以其名号便能立刻变化出其独特美学及声响的作品…。」2月12日星期一，英国皇家音乐学院院长 Jonathan Freeman Attwood 在讲完这段介绍词后，所入场领奖的正是 Manfred Eicher 这位德国音乐唱片製作人，因其领导的爵士名厂 ECM 唱片公司对唱片工业的贡献，而被获颁英国皇家音乐学院的荣誉会员（Honorary Fellows）。
从英国最古老的音乐学院手中接下这项荣誉会员的殊荣，Eicher 将与历年来的音乐界大佬，诸如 Franz Liszt、Igor Stravinskij、Pablo Casals，以及 Placido DomingoMartha Argerich 等等众多的知名人士一同列入荣誉会员的名人堂。
