The Satchmo Summer Fest 2017 will be held from August 4 to 6 in New Orleans, Louis Armstrong’s birthplace, in the Old US Mint, French Quarter. The line up includes many live bands, among which Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Stephanie Jordan, Hot & Brass Band, Robin Barnes and the Fayabirds, New Orleans Swamp Donkeys, Treme Brass Band, Don Vappie and the Creole Jazz Serenader.
The program also inlcudes seminars, lectures, dance lessons, a Jazz Mass in Sidney Bechet’s Church, a Second Line Parade on the city streets, as well as typical New Orleans food tasting.
