The 42nd edition of the Leipziger Jazztage, one of the oldest festivals in Germany, will take place in the city of Leipzig from next October 11 to 20.
Ten venues around the city, among which the prestigious Leipzig Opera House, will host more than 100 contemporary jazz artists, such as FISH’N’CHIPS with Norma Winstone, Dave Holland’s Aziza, Matthew Herbert’s Brexit Big Band, James Farm, Empirical, Avishai Cohen Quartet, Yazz Ahmed, Soweto Kinch, Max Andrzejewsk’s Hütte and Guests play Robert Wyatt, Lucia Cadotsch + Tricko, Kit Downes, Elliot Galvin, Oli Steidle & The Killing Popes among others.
The programme features as well a section dedicated to children, “Jazz For Kids”, in which families can share their passion for the music.
