“Monk Studies”, Chihiro Yamanaka’s new album, will be released on June 21 by Blue Note. The Japanese piano player reinterpretes, with Mark Kelley on double bass and Deantoni Parks on drums, famous Monk’s classics such as Misterioso, In Walked Bud, Ruby My Dear, Hackensack, and others.
