Hal Galper’s goal, when he founded Youngbloods in 2015, was to combine his 50 year long experience with the work of some young musicians from New York scene: Nathan Bellot on alto saxophone, Dean Torrey on double bass, David Frazier on drums, that is the trio accompanying him in this Live At the Cota Jazz Festival, which will be released by Origin on next July 21. Recorded live on September 11, 2016, the album features four classics signed by the American pianist.
