The debut album of the American singer Jazzmeia Horn is entitled A Social Call. It includes ten tracks encompassing the different shades of acoustic jazz, with reinterpretations of famous standards such as “East Of The Sun (West Of The Moon)”, “I Remember You”, “Afro-Blue”, “Moanin'” and some visits to R&B as in “I’m Goin’ Down” and “People Make the World Go Round”. Born in Dallas in 1991, Horn won in 2013 the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Competition and, in 2015, the Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competion.
