Nils Landgren Funk Unit new album, Unbreakable, was released on June 30 by ACT, with special guests Ray Parker Jr., Randy Brecker and Tim Hagans. The album features original tracks written by the leader or by the couple composed by Magnum C. Price and Andy Pfeiler (respectively the group bassist and guitarist), in addition to the reinterpretations of “Rockin’ After Midnight” by Marvin Gaye, “Stars In Your Eyes” by Herbie Hancock, Ray Parker Jr., Gavin Christopher Wright and Lisa Capuano, and “Just A Kiss Away” by Allen Toussaint.
