The Afro Beat pioneer and longtime pillar of Fela Kuti sound in the 70’s, Tony Allen, has debuted for Blue Note with a tribute to Art Blakey and his Messengers. The record is substantially a 25 minutes EP with four tracks: Moanin’, Politely, A Night in Tunisia and Drum Thunder Suite, completely revisited in the arrangements, particularly in the rythm.
