The World Peace Trio, formed by the Kuwaiti Kamal Musallam All’oud, the British Gilad Atzumon on reed instruments, and by the Indonesian pianist Dwiki Dharmawan, proposes a very original mix of Andalusian music, gamelan, jazz, funk, and Arabian and oriental influences. Established in 2015 for a performance at Jakarta Festival, the trio has then decided to record this CD about the theme of peace, with original tracks composed by the three musicians, with the only exception of “In A Sentimental Mood” by Duke Ellington, and “Ramallah”, a Palestinian traditional folk song.
